On Wednesday, 20th October 2021, NPS Engineering Group joined forces with 11 other local businesses for One In A Million’s (OIAM) 9th annual Charity 5-a-Side Football Tournament at 5 Alive Indoor Football Centre in Bradford. Sponsored by Schofield Sweeney Solicitors, the event was a fantastic blend of competitive football and community spirit, all in support of OIAM’s inspiring work with disadvantaged children and young people through sports, arts, and enterprise.
Our team took to the pitch alongside squads from Schofield Sweeney, BorgWarner, Chadwick Lawrence, Naylor Wintersgill, Simpson Wood, Rex Proctor & Partners, Emerald Group, Ramsdens, Christeyns, and Lily—facing off against OIAM’s star-studded celebrity lineup, including Andy Gray, Andy Kiwomya, Gareth Jones, Billy Clarke, Danny Forrest, Qasim Akhtam, and Ben Jacobs. The action-packed day kicked off with two rounds of group matches, leading into thrilling semifinals and a nail-biting final. Congratulations to the overall winners, OIAM’s celebrity team, with Ramsdens Solicitors in second place and Simpson Wood securing third. A special nod to Adam Medley from BorgWarner, who claimed top scorer honours with an impressive 10 goals.
