As part of Bradford Manufacturing Weeks, NPS Engineering Group welcomed 15 Year 10 students from Hanson Academy and their teachers. Split into groups, the visit offered a glimpse into our multi-faceted engineering business, highlighting diverse career paths.
Exploring Operations and Innovation
The day started with tours exploring our project lifecycle – showing all aspects of our business and linking theory to real-world uses in energy and water treatment. Students engaged actively, asking insightful questions about the processes. This transitioned into a design session, where they explored 3D CAD to design pipe layouts showing them creative problem-solving in a collaborative setting.
Insights into Careers and Collaboration
Our HR, Finance, and QHSE teams then shared their career stories, from university courses to apprenticeships, underscoring NPS’s commitment to training and mentorship. A teamwork discussion followed to demonstrate how every role contributes to our success.
Feedback from pupils, teachers and NPS staff was positive all round. We’re proud to support Bradford’s young talent and invite other schools to contact us for future visits.
